Friendly Senior Living: Staff Training & Education Program (STEP) addresses the critical shortage of direct care by providing advancement opportunities for women at Friendly Senior Living who face obstacles to continuing education by paying for the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course, providing full-time wages while attending the program, supporting transportation for those attending the program and providing guaranteed employment at higher wages upon certification from the CNA course.
